Under the mezzanine, there can also be a hanger with clothes, a reading pouffe or an easel for artistic games. We have prepared 5 ways for you to easily change a child's room with a loft bed.

A place to learn for the child

Using a mezzanine in a child's room is the perfect way to find additional space for study. Thanks to this solution, we can easily create a quiet and peaceful corner to do homework and develop your toddler's passions. What will we need and what is worth remembering?

It is important to remember about the dimensions of the mezzanine and choose furniture appropriate to its size. Choosing a good desk is very important. It cannot be too wide and large. Small desks will be much better. It is worth combining them with lockable cabinets or chests of drawers. The use of cabinets in the design will provide our children with a place to store textbooks, notebooks and writing utensils. Thanks to this, it will be much easier to keep it tidy, which is extremely important for the place to study. Keeping the workplace clean helps children to fully concentrate on their studies.

Play area under the mezzanine in the children's room

The space under the mezzanine is a great place to create a real kingdom for our children to play in. We can easily put a box full of toys or a shelf for board games here. It is worth making sure that our children are comfortable. Thick and soft carpets, large pillows and poufs will work great.

You will create an even nicer atmosphere by suspending curtains, your children can have a real fort under their mezzanine! You can use a blanket or curtain fabric and attach it to the sides of the bed so that it covers the whole thing. Place colourful Christmas tree lights or an LED strip inside. Such lighting will give a magical and unique character and your children will have the best place to play.

Relaxation zone in the space under the mezzanine

If your child is older and more often reaches for a book than blocks, you can turn the place under the mezzanine into a true bookworm's paradise! How? All you need is soft, large poufs or a comfortable armchair on which your child will be able to spend hours with their favourite book in their hand. Make sure to get soft pillows and a nice blanket, it will additionally warm the space.

As in the case of the play zone, it is also worth considering covering the place with material and preparing a lamp suitable for reading. Your children will be grateful to you for creating such a magical place. Also remember about a shelf on which it will be easy to put books. Thanks to this, you can easily take care of keeping them in order and additionally such a solution will highlight the colourful book covers.

Add extra storage space

A mezzanine bed is not only an excellent way to diversify the children's room but also a solution for owners of small apartments. The space under the mezzanine is a great place for a wardrobe, clothes hanger or a chest of drawers. Where every square centimetre is worth its weight in gold, using a mezzanine in your child's room will be the perfect solution. Think about how best to use this space, however, don't use high wardrobes or long chest's of drawers. Such furniture will accommodate not only children's clothes and toys, but can also be a place to store rarely used items. Christmas decorations, winter jackets for the whole family or travel suitcases.

A little artist's corner under the bed

If your toddler loves art's games - painting, drawing, moulding from plasticine, create an art studio under the mezzanine! Set up an easel, a small desk and a cabinet for felt-tip pens, crayons and paints. Remember to provide adequate lighting, the space must be bright enough. It would be a great idea to paint the wall behind the mezzanine with blackboard paint. Thanks to this solution, your child will have unlimited space for creative play. The mezzanine is the best and easiest way to develop small spaces or create unique places to play and learn for your little ones.
